Summary
The two of them are standing next to each other—a captive audience to Midoriya and Kota roughhousing—when Kota hauls off and dick punches Midoriya as hard as he can, really not holding anything back. Midoriya goes down with a choked gasp that has Bakugou chuckling fondly beside him.
When Shouto looks at him, he’s smiling softly. Proud, like Kota just won gold at the science fair or helped a little old lady walk across the street.
“He’s absolutely your kid, huh?” Shouto asks, voice deceptively neutral. “Like a mini version of you.”
Bakugou shoves at his shoulder, rolling his eyes while trying not to laugh. “Shut the fuck up, Half ‘n half.”

Shouto’s been a nanny for the last few years and is well versed in both kids and their high maintenance parents. He’s worried he may have finally met his match in “perpetual problem child” Kota—only to find out they get along perfectly.
His dad might be a problem, though.

Summary
Izuku always will be good. But even good people cannot be great without sacrifice. Sometimes, there is a limit to the hearts one can hold and cradle in their hands.
Now the silence hangs in the room the same way it would with a stranger. It’s a little suffocating, even. Shouto has purged the putrid smoke from his lungs the same way he burnt the blistering resentment for the man who raised him out of his system.
This won’t choke him.
“So… you and Kacchan, huh?” Izuku manages, barely.
“Does it surprise you?”
Scratching the edge of his cheek, Izuku averts his eyes.
“I- I can’t really say. But you seemed to be getting along fine before-”
The way Izuku catches his words and snaps his mouth shut is abrupt and an extremely unsubtle way to avoid a loaded subject. But avoidance is a tactic neither of them were particularly good at or enjoyed entertaining.
It’s time to do what they came here for.
Katsuki is just about done with all of this nonsense.

Bakugou realizes that Todoroki probably hasn't had a decent fucking birthday his whole life, and he takes that personally
