Summary
Dan Heng's knees buckle beneath him, his hand reaching out to the strands of hair. He cannot fight the way he lifts the strands up into the air, letting them slide through the gaps between his fingers.
Even as the puddle of blood reaches the dragon's knees, he does not find himself moving backwards to preserve his white brocade robes. Instead he lets himself sit by the man's side, gently raking a trembling hand down his scalp.
He is stunning.
It has been so long since he's seen a human he had almost forgotten what they look like: Supple skin vulnerable to anything sharp, void of any scales for protection.
Perhaps he should lend a helping hand to aid his dire wounds.
Curiosity gets the best of a dragon, leading his life to intertwine with a lone swordsman’s. Fate and wishes bound, he fights to grow closer to his new and unexpected friend.
