“So, I've kind of met someone,” he said tentatively, like he was dipping his toe into the water before jumping in.
“We’re just kind of talking right now. It’s just.. he’s more experienced than me. I’m not sure how much more, we haven’t really talked numbers. But it’s more than zero.”
“Mmh.”
“And you’re like, you know. Well-versed.” Wei Ying was looking at him oddly, carefully talking around whatever question he was trying to ask.
“Wei Ying. What are you getting at?” His tone was more exasperated than he intended, but the topic put him on edge.
“I don’t want to embarrass myself.”
“You won’t. You can ask me.” The room was suddenly feeling stuffy. Perhaps he should take a walk and get some fresh air.
Wei Ying rose from his spot by the fire and squatted by his desk. He looked up at him with his silver eyes, the beginnings of a pout playing his lips.
“I meant, I don’t want to embarrass myself in bed. You know,” he gestured at his body, waving his hand in an up and down motion, “virgin.” Lan Zhan contemplated what sin he’d committed in a previous life to end up in this situation, surmising it must lie at the intersection of unforgivable and incomprehensible.

As it seems the current meeting time is not conducive to your schedule, I have arranged a new meeting time at the usual location this coming Saturday at 7 p.m.
