Summary
His hair is blonde, not brown. She tells herself, trying to keep the images at bay. She did the same for everyone else, too, ogling at them for a few seconds too long, as if trying to fix whatever it is that’s broken in them in her mind’s eye. It’s better than trying to fall back asleep, lest she finds herself drowning once more in the sea of black, squeezing the air out of her lungs before she could even try to ask for redemption. Knees bruised, falling onto the floor over and over again in supplication.
It’s one thing, albeit trivial, to keep herself from spiraling down the belief that she hasn’t fucked them up entirely. At least, not yet.

Summary
Throughout his years, Aiden always finds himself always searching for something.
If he cleaned his room, will he find his will to live? Will he find the warmth he’s searching for in the grinding of the washing machine for finally doing his growing pile of dirty laundry? It could be the overheating of his PC unit for playing for hours on end. He thinks he lost them between stacks of self-study modules, or written in secret languages in multiple plane tickets.
Because the last time he searched for it in his mother’s arms, he found her looking for it, too.
Or:
Five times Aiden Clark tried to find peace amidst the adrenaline and chaos. And one time he found it in a random Thursday afternoon, within a tangle of limbs.

Summary
It was confusing for Ashlyn on why she was surprised about the fact that Aiden keeps a journal.
In hindsight, Aiden Clark lives for the spectacle of his own play.
He's his own audience. His attitude of carelessness, smiling through everything with reckless abandon even when faced with dangerous situations. He loves the rush. The adrenaline it gives him provides the reassurance that he isn't the same dark-haired kid rotting inside his bedroom anymore. If it ever gets him in the end, well, that's that. Anything to keep his mind off the silence of his own brain.
Yet, along with the quiet hum of the air conditioning, the gentle whirr of the printer, the cutting and gluing of paper into a clean page, he finds himself at peace.

Summary
Ashlyn Banner doesn't like lemons.
They're too sour. Too much for her taste.
Somehow it reminds her of her dad's pickled eggs.
That sudden burst of spiky flavor doesn't do good for her oversensitive senses.
They're also some of the brightest yellow things she's ever seen.
They're just.. too much. Her dad might be right about trying things first before deciding whether to hate it or not. Actually, screw that. Her dad might be always right about everything he says. As she glances over the lemons among the other fruits on their kitchen tray, Ashlyn thinks she'll pass on trying to like them this year.

And the adeptus finds himself wanting to know a little bit more.

Summary
Maybe he wasn't as amazing as everyone thinks he is.
That is until he enrolled to Karasuno. A home he never knew he needed.
The volleyball club. A family he wished he had before.
They accepted him with no exceptions. Played with him, stood by him, reached for the top with him. Kageyama has never felt so involved like this before. For the first time in a while, Kageyama felt amazing about himself once again. He's forever grateful for them.
And it became so much better when Tsukishima came into his life.

Summary
He eats, despite his appetite, for the sake of not dying from starvation. But after a few spoons of rice, he calls it quits and sets the plate down. A breath of fresh midnight air would be nice at the moment.
But it doesn't explain why he has a plate of almond tofu on the highest balcony of the inn.
Force of habit? Yeah, let's think of it that way.

Summary
"Hey, King."
The setter noticed the hesitance in his call. He always hated getting called by that nickname, but this time, for some reason, he lets it slide for once. "Yeah?" He called out, signaling the blonde to speak next after. Tsukishima took a few breaths in, as if contemplating the choices he made earlier.
"What would you do if you know you're going to die soon?"

Summary
They continue dancing, Tobio ruffling Kei's soft locks, and Kei indulging in Tobio's body spray. Subtle movements, small glances to keep a single thought in mind alive, that one feels the same warmth as the other. Their feet moving in their own rhythm, Tobio looks down, admiring the man he fell in love with.
Tsukishima Kei. A forest of mysteries. A character which Tobio finds himself a captive of its own. A problem Tobio will never get tired of solving. A puzzle which Tobio finds every single piece of him astonishing.
Tobio smiles, joining Kei to sing their favorite song.

Summary
Tobio's holding back, he thought.
Holding back with the fear of getting his emotions ahead of him. Because if he does, he might repeat the same mistake he did back then. Tobio's traumatized enough to do anything just to avoid that.
He's not gonna go through it, not again.
Never again.

Summary
"Say, how drunk are you right now?"
Let's say it was just a hunch, or maybe a gut feeling, but this boy was sure of that moment; maybe, maybe he could finally pull it off. It was his first, and last chance. It was now, or never. There's no reason left for him to let it pass. There are chances that he would regret it later, but hey, you only live once.

Summary
"Morning, King."
The guy who he called turned his body to him, royal blue irises shining against his honey brown ones. After seconds of awkward silence and a bit of hesitation, he answered.
"Do I know you?"

Summary
Tsukishima sighed. There were days like this, especially now that he's working himself to the bone without having any glimpse of the outside world, he would sometimes forget that there is a simpleton living also in an apartment, his building right next to his, with their balconies facing each other.
