Dead silence for a solid five seconds—Eito counted. It felt a lot longer, though.
“E-Excuse me?!”
He had been expecting a response like that.
Before Eito could gather his thoughts and explain himself, Takumi’s headache-inducing voice pierced him again, audibly flustered even through all the harshness. “You know what? No. Don’t answer that. I don’t even want to know. I’m not dealing with you right now.”
Unfortunately for him, Eito wasn’t content to let the conversation end there.
Wanting to truly see Takumi for the first time, Eito decided that—in absence of his eyes—he would just have to use his hands.

Takumi swallows, throat dry, and braces himself for an endurance match he can't afford to lose.
Several hundred suicides deep, Takumi Sumino comes to the conclusion that death isn't enough to rid himself of Eito Aotsuki.

Summary
He thought back to Karua, the person he promised to protect no matter what. Then, his thoughts drifted to Nozomi and the concern in her eyes as she questioned the path he was taking. Takumi only wanted to save them—dreamt of it and wished for it to the point it became a mantra. Still, he was pathetic, stupid, incompetent; his weakness left him with only one option. A gradual transformation into something his former self would've despised. Perhaps that was why Eito was so drawn to him—even before the drugs.
He breathed in slowly. His head was starting to throb, and his only respite was found in the gentle brushing of his hair by someone he once called his nemesis. Someone whom he loathed to trust, someone he knew he'd forgive again and again.
Takumi made a choice—now he has to live with it.
