Summary
Aloy has spent most of her life wearing a focus, what she doesn't realize, is that the focus was developed in part to suppress sentinel emergence due to a low guide birthrate. After a hunt with Kotallo that damages her focus, and the Champion of Meridian is forced to add another title to her repertoire, one she can't ignore: Sentinel.
Kotallo is a guide, but nothing like the guides Aloy is familiar with amongst the Nora. No. Tenakth guides tend to be very hands-on in the way the interpret their calling.
