Great exploration of Xie Lian's character and time during those 800 years. Must read.

    Summary

Xie Lian had never traveled in his dreams before now. Never opened his eyes and found a different bedroom, different people, a different life. But he had heard of this curse long ago. A curse about people who could glimpse opportunities, other lives. Their souls would travel as they slept.

The only person he had known affected by it was a man whose wife had died. In his dreams, he saw her a thousand times, a thousand worlds where she had lived, and woke up in the world where she had not. Perhaps Xie Lian, too, had a traveler’s soul now, seeking out his Hua Cheng while he waited.

But Xie Lian was not grieving. He was only waiting until Hua Cheng was back and he would have no need for dreams.

Amazing fic. Instant one of my favorite TGCF fics I've read on here. I loved reading it so much and I swear I feel tears in my eyes and happiness in my heart when I finished. Thank you so much for writing.

    Summary

“Have you considered the possibility that Neil has chosen you, but believes you have not chosen him?” Renee says. "Have you ever explicitly told him what you want?”

“Neil knows what I want,” Andrew snaps. This is not Andrew’s fault.

    “How do you know?”

Because Neil always knows. He is as fluent in Andrew’s micro-expressions as he is in German and French. He knows which head tilts mean “go on” and which ones mean “shut up.” Without ever asking, he learned what it meant to see Andrew wearing double layers of long sleeves, or taking multiple showers in a day, and learned to hand Andrew the car keys.

That has always been the most terrifying thing about Neil — his patience to wait, watch, listen, learn. The prospect that if Neil were given enough time, there would be no part of Andrew that was just Andrew’s anymore.

“He has to know,” Andrew says.

“Does he?” Renee says. “Have you ever known Neil to assume that he is wanted?”

Five times Neil tells someone that he and Andrew aren’t dating, and one time Andrew uses his words to set the record straight.

Amazing story. This story has some of the most compelling dialogue I've read (in a way that even if there's nothing much going on outside of the convo but the conversation helps tell the story and is just so interesting to read) and the way it explored the characters and their relationship was really well-done. I recommend it.

    Summary

What was important came to him long before he found what he was looking for. Gon returns to Whale Island, and finds everything unchanged except for himself.

“Am I like my dad?” Gon asks. Not for the first time he thinks back on Ging; a brilliant and strange man in a scarf, with eyes forever looking to the next horizon, as if he's afraid to turn back and see the past he left behind.

This is my favorite Hunter x Hunter fic of all time. It beautifully captures Gon's character and the introspection of him was just done really well. I rly love Killua's characterization here because he feels so real here. Plus, I love the atmosphere of it. It's very bittersweet without being overly angsty. It's seriously so good. It's pretty much my ideal hxh fic. I love it lots.
