Summary
It was strange, cultivating this sort of relationship with Nazuna. Though given where they’d been, it didn’t deserve to be described as strange at all. Shu liked it better like this, as confusing as it may be, and he was sure Nazuna did too. This sort of relationship was new to him; two people on equal footing, dancing to their own tunes, working together to create a masterpiece.

The man - the shepherd - was a small man with blond hair that grew long on one side. He wore a blue beret with an outfit that looked as if it was drowning the man in soft clothing that was embroidered with blue and yellow accents. In his hand he held a shepherd’s crook that had a ribbon tied near the top of the hook. As he made his way over all Shu could think was:

His eyes are squeezed shut in a painful expression, his head tossing back and forth as he thrashes a bit, pretty obviously caught in an unpleasant dream, and after only a moment’s hesitation, Ace reaches out to shake him by the shoulder as he whispers again. “Deuce. Wake up, Deuce!”
