Jack’s had a long day.
“Any inquiries about bookings or appointments are usually better done over the phone, during the day,” he says, giving the standard response to walk-in clients and letting his voice fall flat. He doesn’t mention that the current waiting list for a shoot is at least six months.
The man winces. “Yeah, I um, I know that. I saw your website.” The man bites at his lip while he looks at the wall, and Jack is about to remind him of the studio’s hours, but then the kid peaks out from behind their dad’s legs and Jack’s heart goes into his throat.

At 1:37pm, Jack finishes his thesis presentation and his phone buzzes a couple minutes later.

Jack remembers what it’s like to have Hockey Canada interested in him. (He doesn't remember the tournament.)
Or, Jack doesn't go to Samwell. The NHL doesn't go to the 2018 Olympics. Jack and Bitty still go to South Korea.

Of course Eric can’t please them all, and he should take that to heart. It’s something his momma taught him years ago. But Eric’s still a stubborn little shit, and he knows himself. Knows that rather than giving up on getting Jack to like him, he’s going to die trying.

Bitty’s first thought was that he was being pranked, that Jack recruited someone to slam him into the sideboards every Tuesday, just to keep him in check. But the person who’d crashed into him wasn’t on the hockey team, and looked equally stunned to be suddenly facedown on the ice. Bitty dragged himself back to standing, already feeling the bruises he would surely see tomorrow morning, and offered a hand to his assailant.
“Gracious, what a way to meet a guy.” Bitty said. “I'm Eric Bittle, but everyone just calls me Bitty.”
“LaTour, Scot,” the boy said, offering a hand of his own. “One T.”

Summary
Despite being angry with Jack, he still watched his game against the Blackhawks with his frogs. Nursey sat to his right, and Dex sat to his left. Sitting in the middle of them wasn’t the best idea, but he was working with it. Bitty never took his eyes off Jack, so when Bitty didn’t react with the rest of his friends to a particularly brutal check, it wasn’t because of his lack of attention. It was because he knew something was wrong. The ping of Jack’s helmet as it flew off his head said enough.

At least Alexei is there to help ease things a little. Honestly, all he's really expecting is to be very awkward on camera for the entire segment, and to eat a lot of cake that's not really in his diet plan.
