She sighed. "Here goes," she said, and opened the door.
Jim stood in the doorway, ready to greet his guests with a warm courtesy that was influenced by Gaila's pheremones, only to stare, slackjawed, at the man who appeared. The same man who'd misjudged him.
McCoy solemnly stared back, a duffel bag slung over his shoulder and a suitcase in his hand. Jim's stomach flipped as he guessed the reason behind it. Spock stood right behind him, his expression hopeful.
Too shocked to speak, Jim made a small noise in his throat.
"Hello, Jim," McCoy said quietly.
