If there's anything Lucifer has learned from his sunshiney daughter, it's that you've gotta kill them with kindness!
Or: Lucifer learns physical touch really gets under Alastor's skin. To appease Charlie, he starts showering Alastor with hugs and the like whenever he pisses him off. That way, Charlie is none the wiser to what he's doing, and Alastor gets a taste of his own medicine.
..The problem begins when Alastor starts seeking him out for affection.

To his utter horror, deep in the marrow of his bone-deep exhaustion, he found himself profoundly relieved to feel the slightest bit of a comforting, steadying presence—a touch that was not administered in pain or malice. He had been utterly alone in the wreckage, surrounded only by the ghosts of his own inadequate power, and now the unlikeliest of sinners was showing the rarest, most forbidden form of basic consideration.
“Careful, Bambi,” Lucifer murmured, the nickname laced with a dry, venomous sting. “Someone might actually start to think you have a heart."
