In response, Shadow teleported to his side, scooping him up before he had a chance to zip away. She couldn't help the smirk that came to her face upon seeing his surprised look. It had always been satisfying to shock Sonic, unflappable as he usually was.
As Shadow dumped Sonic over the railing, she rumbled, "It would be a waste, wouldn't it?"

Summary
If Shadow's going to be miserable in Rouge's apartment, he might as well be miserable and useful. Rouge enlists him to be her model for some eye makeup, promising that if he hates it, he can take it off, but if he likes it, he can come out with her tonight. She's planning on going to a fancy gallery opening to swipe some unsecured jewelry off of the rich bidders, and maybe enjoy some free snacks while she's there.
