Summary
In nearly every way (except the most notable), the Princess of Hyrule was the Goddess incarnate. For that reason alone, it was a little ingenious for the King to offer up his daughter’s hand to whoever was able to pull the sword.
Link hadn’t meant to pull the sword. He planned to watch as his comrades pulled with all their might, perhaps even tease a few about how it was all for the better that the sword didn’t budge, because surely no Princess could ever love their ugly mugs, and then get into a good old-fashioned wrestling match with their bruised egos after one too many jokes. But it hadn’t mattered what he had in mind; Link’s plans be damned. The Goddess had already plucked him out of obscurity and set him along Her own path.

Summary
Heat seared her cheeks, the cauldron in her chest boiling over finally. “I have more important duties, to my people, than just cleaning up the castle and planting flowers. Oh, or did you mean for me to redecorate my room while there may be folk in need, off in the cold, unknown snowfield?” She crossed her arms, glaring at nothing in particular. The initial satisfaction she felt in scolding him was immediately replaced by guilt when she saw his shoulders slump. He said nothing; her fire was extinguished, leaving just her own charred chagrin. She was quiet for a moment before responding, trying to sound exasperated instead of ashamed. “What’s the problem with me going, Link? Am I not qualified to make decisions for myself?”
The knight took a single step back, bowing his head slightly. “I don’t mean to try to govern you, your majesty.”
She wanted to scream, or shove him. She wanted him to yell at her. But she felt her right mind stomping on the smoking remains of her fire. She exhaled, hoping it would expel the smoke that was curling wispy tendrils around her heart. Her emotional labors fruitless, she mounted her horse without another look at the top of his disappointed head. “I will return soon.”

The way he ran and lied, and was still lying. King Rhoam was the one who insisted the truth be buried, but Link didn’t utter a word of protest. He may have come clean, but he had no intention of coming clean to all of Hyrule.
He felt he didn’t owe Hyrule anything.But the question remained, just how much did he owe Zelda?"

Summary
In the wake of the Calamity, Zelda feels distinctly out of place. She can't figure out what's wrong with her-- shouldn't she be happier? Shouldn't she feel relief at saving the kingdom and fulfilling her destiny? She has the distinct feeling that she has only traded one burden for another, and must make critical decisions that she is not equipped to handle.
Link wants to earn back Zelda's trust, but can't seem to find the right approach. Does she really see him as the man she knew all those years ago? How can he overcome the strange barrier that seems to have formed between them? He bought the house for them to share, but it feels like she's still far away.
In order to process all that's happened to them, Link and Zelda will have to come together and ask the tough questions. What do they want, and how can they build that future?

They had done everything they could to keep her sane, to get her out of Beacon Hills, to save her life.
And now she’s watching Scott McCall’s second daughter toddle from the couch to the armchair before grasping onto it and then promptly falling down in shock. And that little girl, with her short blond hair and soulful brown eyes, just like her father’s, is a miracle in herself— more miraculous than the supernatural, by every definition.
