Somewhere around the Mist Estate, the Mist Pillar casually said to Genya. It took him by surprise, but obviously, he's not going to say no to the pillar's offer.
After all, he'd do anything to prove himself worthy of becoming a pillar (to prove himself worthy to his big brother).

Simply put, this is a fic about Genya and Muichiro interacting somewhere during the pillar training, where Muichiro helps Genya in achieving his goals.

“Your hair’s gotten way longer than before, hasn't it?” Muichiro says softly, hands playing with the others’ unruly strands, “and fluffier.”
“Huh? Is that so?” Genya responded, a slight blush slowly creeping to his cheeks. Still, his focus on taking care of the plants doesn’t seem to break.
But then, he decided to speak back, “Well… yours got shorter, isn’t it? Like, really short-”
What came next was a smack to his forearm.
“You literally saw me getting it cut yesterday, dumbass.”
