She got it now. It made sense. This was why it hurt so much.
They were Mina and Sana, and Sana was comfortable. Had never thought about it, never made the effort.
Dates, flowers, proposals.
Those were all things Mina deserved. Sana had known that before, but she now realized she should have given them to her. Before this happened and another alpha came along and did it first.

Mina nods. She wonders when Jihyo last had a night off. “I could drive you. I’m thinking of calling a night too.” they both know Sana’s most likely to agree to that; handing what belongs to her in the hands of someone she trusts. She moves closer to them, sitting next to Jihyo on the bed.

She reaches up again, this time twisting the lamp clockwise, but still gently, once it’s secure in place she nods. “Alright, try now.” She hears footsteps, and then, brightness fills the room.
Another job well done.
She steps down carefully, dusting her hands on her pants, and coming face to face with the reason she was here in the first place.
“Thank you for your help.” Nayeon’s voice is overly sweet, in the forced way she habitually speaks as. It's pathetic really.

Jeongyeon goes to help her ex-wife change a lamp and stays for a bit longer than she should.

“You were staring.” Chaeyoung explains, still sounding annoyed, looking down expectantly.
Well, Tzuyu couldn't really deny that. She was staring. But she had done it before and had never been caught, so she’s not sure how to answer now that she has. it doesn't matter; she's surprised Chaeyoung hasn't understood by now, it's not like she's subtle, and it's not like the others don't tease her about it.
Tzuyu shrugs. “Do you wanna go out with me sometime?”

Summary
She’s in the middle of telling a story with Sana quickly translating after her when it comes; a hand on her thigh making her freeze mid-sentence—a touch so confident it almost feels habitual, squeezing her flesh in an almost possessive way, that for a second Jihyo wonders if they met before, if they did this a million times and this is just something Sana’s used to doing to her. The others don't seem to notice her sudden loss of words, as Sana continues speaking, translating like Jihyo had finished the end of her sentence.
The touch doesn't make her uncomfortable; Sana’s hand is firm but in a way that feels self-assured instead of controlling, she touches her like she knows Jihyo wants her to and she wants it too.

Jihyo looks beautiful like this, Momo thinks. Her skin is tanned this time of summer and now it glimmers with sweat. There's a flush to her neck that creeps down her shoulders and her hair is a mess from all the movement and from Momo's own hands. It's wild and all over the place, a nightmare for a hair stylist and she has never looked more pretty.
The air tastes of cinnamon, and she thinks it's crazy they have never done this before.

In all her pathetic set up, she’s pretty sure Chaeyoung might be the only person in the whole stupid world who knows exactly what she’s feeling.
“Can’t let them know they won.” She tries her best to appear nonchalant, uncaring, she shrugs and looks at the TV where Chaeyoung’s character’s body floats before exploding, the words you died appearing in bold text. “Not like I care.”
“Don’t give me that shit,” the girl laughs, letting go of the controller to reach for the blunt on the table. She takes a hit, casually, eyeing Sana. “You’re fucking pissed.” as she parts her mouth to speak, clouds of smoke escape, the familiar smell hitting Sana’s nose. “Wearing her clothes and everything.”

Tzuyu who had planned to answer whatever she had to say with 'actually can we leave' suddenly tensed, whipping her head left and right, “What? Who?"
Sana smiled, all teeth, dangerous and teasing. She tilted her head left. “Blondie in the white cropped shirt and jean jacket.”
Chaeyoung: so this suppressants thing

Chou Tzuyu: Need to finish this round of pills first.
Five days left.
Chaeyoung: and then you’ll get your rut?
Chou Tzuyu: might take a couple of days. But yes.

She wasn't even sure how they got there; Sana was traveling–as she often was, a model's schedule didn't quite allow for a homey lifestyle–and had suggested they both get dinner together, since she knew how much they missed her presence. “Take care of each other, for me” she had said, voice full of the usual longing it got once she had been away from home for over two weeks, when she was feeling tired and worried and missing her favorite people.
And yet, as Mina felt a hand on her ass, over her dress, palming it roughly, making her gasp, she was sure this wasn't what Sana had meant.

It had taken long, detailed and embarrassing conversations for Nayeon to understand she wouldn't be hurting Sana by acting like this, whoring herself out to someone else. It had also taken similar conversations to make Sana understand Nayeon wasn’t doing this just because of her; she was just as into the idea as her wife.
After so long, after so much thinking and daydreaming about it, Sana thought this was definitely a good enough pay off.

“She’s probably eavesdropping right now,” Jihyo said, rubbing the spot between her eyebrows.
“Probably” Momo nodded.

She was good at being petty.

Even from this far Momo could see the blush on Nayeon’s face, clearly drunk as she spoke, pointing and rolling her eyes. The alpha, her wife, seemed much soberer, and had the expression of someone trying not to laugh at a child, both tired and amused.
