Summary

When the Heir accidentally embarrasses her master while they were entertaining a Dracon, her already grim fate takes a sharp turn for the worse.
The Dracon Marazhai Aaezyrraesh prides himself on a keen eye, and it only takes one encounter for him to recognize something being squandered.

Astarion is incapable of love, as far as he knows. It's an emotion that is now beneath him, as so many things and people are.
But he still has his attachments. Feyran, the morally bankrupt half-elf that had been at his side from the beginning of the whole tadpole mess, was one such attachment. But he was *useful*. Almost cripplingly so.
