Summary
Svetlana Vetrova, PWHL player for the Toronto Sceptres, shows up to Shane and Ilya’s wedding not expecting the night to get too out of hand—that is, until she meets actress Rose Landry.

The night drags on as Svetlana takes a seat at the bar, glad to give her legs a rest after being on the dance floor all night. She turns to order a drink—something light, maybe a soda, but instead her eyes meet the woman sitting a few seats across from her.
Her breath hitches in her throat, and she shakes it off as a drunken hiccup, but she can’t seem to tear her gaze away from hers.
Rose Landry, she thinks. A friend of Shane’s, she recalls Ilya saying.

Summary
Ilya hums, playing the card he's been considering for this entire conversation. “We could make more interesting, yes? A bet.”
“A bet,” Shane repeats, eyes flashing. “Like what?”
The reporter cuts in. “What about wearing the other player’s jersey?”
They both turn to her, and Shane says, “Like, the loser wears the winner’s jersey?”
“Maybe at the next game in a couple of months?”
“Is a good idea,” Ilya muses, nudging Shane’s elbow. “You will look better in my jersey than in Montreal jersey.”
Shane makes a low noise, his eyes holding a bit of a spark when he looks back to Ilya. It’s what Ilya was hoping for—the tiniest crack in the mask. He can see a hint of exasperated affection around the corners of Shane’s eyes, a little bit of fire burning just beneath the surface. It sends a thrill down Ilya’s spine, and he wonders if Shane will be snarky when Ilya gets him naked tonight.
“That’s not happening,” Shane replies, shaking his head. “Because you’re not winning.”

Ilya sniffs and rubs his face into Shane’s t-shirt. “Is stupid”, he mutters, sounding embarrassed.
“Tell me anyway.”
There’s a long pause, before Ilya admits, “I had a dream about my mom, and my dad. Woke up sweaty and shaking and just... bad. I did not want you to see.”

Summary
It used to worry Shane. In the early days of their heated rivalry, where the line between fucking and frenemies had started to get shaky and blurred, he used to lie awake at night wondering what Ilya saw in him.
If he used to lurk in the murky depths of online gossip columns to read about Boston Raiders Captain Ilya Rozanov’s latest speculated flings with supermodels and upcoming song writing prodigies; well, that information was between him and his internet cookies and that’s where it was going to stay.
It was hard not to compare himself though. All of Ilya’s previous known partners (and there were many of them) were tall, razor thin and packing a stunning pair of perfectly round elevated breasts.
Shane has none of these qualities. He’s not particularly tall - at least by the standards of ice hockey players - he’s stocky, and he is pretty positive that he does not possess a rack.
And yet.
And yet, Ilya cannot seem to keep his hands away from Shane’s chest.
