For the next day or so, he was still in his regeneration process as he called it. He was clumsy, so terribly clumsy, and he kept leaking that gold mist that had exploded from him when he had regenerated. Every time he did, a little part of her hoped that he would change back to her Doctor.
He never did.
It was harder when they were back on the TARDIS, because even that had changed. Y/N couldn’t even recognise it anymore - it might have well just stopped being a blue box altogether. A place where she once found comfort and security was strange, and for the first time since she had started travelling with The Doctor she truly felt like she was travelling with a stranger.
the doctor regenerates and the reader has a hard time coming to terms with it.

Y/N has finally moved on in her life after Sherlock jumped from the roof of Bart’s hospital. After morning for nearly a year and a half she has come to terms with Sherlock’s death, and regrets not telling him her feelings. Her life is much different now that she is back from her haze of morning, though she is still fragile and one small action may tip her back into her depression. She has a set routine she follows everyday. Wake up, skip breakfast, stop for tea, work, skip lunch, get off work, go to cafe and watch people until dinner, eat alone in the flat, go to bed, repeat.
