Summary
Ivan walked through school like always—calm, charming, basically un-noticeable. His two best friends—well 1, Mizi and Sua walked with him. Mizi talked a lot, and Sua was calm. Mizi and Sua were dating, Ivan felt like an outcast.
Ivan wasn’t paying attention, though. Mizi’s chatting was just background noise by now.
Then someone brushed past him.
It wasn’t anything big, just a quick bump, but it made Ivan stop. He turned his head and saw a boy walking away. He had cool grey-teal hair and a face that looked both sharp and soft.
Ivan froze, His heart suddenly started beating fast, and he felt weird—like warm and nervous all at once. He didn’t even know his name, but something about him just felt special.
Mizi and Sua noticed Ivan wasn’t walking anymore and looked back at him. Mizi followed his gaze, then pointed.
“Hey, isn’t that guy from the music club? I think his name is Till, he plays guitar really well!”
“Till...” Ivan whispered, like he was trying out the name.
Mizi raised her eyebrows and smirked. “Whoa. Did someone finally make you stop in your tracks? That never happens.”
Sua giggled, and Ivan just stood there.
Was this what falling in love felt like?☆

Summary
As if a switch has been flipped, Ivan does not stop gazing at Till, while Till is the one to skirt away.
“This might be good for you, though,” Ivan says, his voice gentle, as if each word doesn't tear into Till’s arteries. “You won’t have to deal with this burden for much longer. It’ll pass.”
“You’re not dead,” Till manages, his voice hoarse. “We'll still be us.”
For the first time, Till feels waves of terror shake through their profound silence.
Ivan gets surgery for his Hanahaki. Till deals with the aftermath.
