Summary

But I'm telling you right now, I don't care. I don't care if it's weird or awkward or whatever. I just need you to live. I need you."
Will can feel his resolve crumbling, can feel the way the desperation is eating away at his ability to think clearly. His body is screaming at him, demanding relief, and he's so tired of fighting it.
"It won't mean anything?" His voice is barely audible. "You promise it won't—we can just forget it happened?"
"I promise." Mike's voice is steady, certain. "We’ll stay friends—best friends."
