Vi doesn’t mind the waiting. She knows all about waiting. The thing about automatons is that they’ll wait for as long as you want them to – hours, months, years. They won’t get tired, they won’t pass out because their knees lock, they won’t shut down or rust. Not until you tell them to, at least. Not unless they can’t help it.
She doesn’t mind the exams either, even if the engineers are more rough with her than necessary when conducting them. It’s uncomfortable; the pressure inside her ears always makes her feel like something is going to rupture right before it eases, but even that is less invasive than the shit she remembers. When she remembers it, anyway. If she remembers it.

After the chaos that nearly claimed Piltover, Caitlyn and Vi have begun to settle into their new life together. There's plenty of work and rebuilding to be done, but with things finally calming down a little, the two women find time to enjoy their newly forged relationship. This particular night gives them the perfect opportunity to do just that.
Spoilers for all of Arcane S1 and S2 as this is set just after the final episode. Also, smut warning (just in case you're not into that kind of thing and didn't read the tags lol).
