Summary
Eirnhaya Illte, formerly of the Odessen Alliance, has lost her last tie to the Sith Empire, and little desire to return to the home which once scorned her. When the opportunity presents itself, she takes the path her sister chose: the Republic, that terrifying ancient enemy of the Sith, and the only people who might be able to protect her from the Empire's fury. Even under the Republic's protection, though, the war is always near, and always conspiring to drag Eirn from the peaceful existence she craves into confrontations with enemies she thought long dead - and matters that must be settled, once and for all, before the galaxy burns.

Summary
My sw:tor clusterfuck/technically-an-AU with occasional AUs of its own. Because I am terrible.
Various liberties with the in-game timeline have been taken. The biggest change is that the cold war did not last as long as it did ingame; in this AU, the Treaty of Coruscant held for around seven years before open war erupted again. There are various reasons for this but primarily it boils down to worldbuilding elements that make no goddamn sense to me (are you seriously trying to tell me, Bioware, that there have been Imperial troops running loose on Coruscant for over a -decade- without being noticed?). Star Wars has always had a questionable grasp of time and geography but there are some things I just can't work with. Sorry not sorry.
Series order is sort-of chronological, with occasional 'i just left this here'.

It was supposed to be a diplomatic mission. Fiona, now Warden-Constable of Montsimmard, sent to meet with King Maric to discuss the Grey Warden presence in Ferelden. But it instantly becomes clear that despite the nearly three years that have passed since they last saw one another, the two still share an attraction to one another. When Arl Eamon's neglect of their son Alistair is revealed, the two rescue him from Eamon's home. But what is to be done with the child now? And will Maric and Fiona's attraction be able to bloom into something else despite their vastly different social stations?
Because of some triggering content, I should warn that the following will be found in this fic, and if they trigger you, I'd not read it: canonical child abuse/neglect, canonical childhood sexual assault, canonical rape, canonical slavery, fantastic racism, and possible power dynamics issues, seeing as Fiona is a commoner and an elf and a mage, and Maric is a human king. The power dynamics are not fetishized, but still may be triggering to some readers.
