Solas, "bested" by Rook, is surprised to find himself at peace in the Fade. Held by hands which love him, caressed with deep care and adoration. Her kisses taste bitter after her lips part from his, and the blood in his veins curdles from the poison of her love, but at least she is with him. At least he is not alone. At least it wasn't all for nothing.

It seems they think she’s Ellana Lavellan, the sole survivor of an explosion that killed their Lady Pope, along with a few hundred other people. Also, the sky’s broken open.
She’s in the wrong world. She’s wearing the wrong body. All in all, Emma’s not having a good time right now. But if she doesn’t use her brand-new magic hand to fix things, her new world will end up getting sucked into oblivion, so, needs must.
Trapped forever in Thedas, she comes up with a to-do list. Number one, make new friends to stave off the crippling loneliness of being stuck alone in an alternate universe. Number two, save the world. Number three, grab a smooch from the handsome ex-templar who may or may not hate mages.
