“Hello,” Time said, as he nodded to them. “Could you point us toward Castle Town?”

The Heroes of Courage are spread across ages. Hundreds to thousands of years between them. It should come as no surprise that they are having some trouble communicating. But when they’re dropped in a world of alien technology and a language wholly unfamiliar, they really wish Hylia had thought ahead.
Or, the gang-meets-wild fic in which there is an appropriate amount of linguistic drift between Links, Hylia does not provide Google Translate, and Wild is a linguaphile among other things.

Summary
There is nothing like waking up to a horrendous headache first thing in the morning. Kai internally groans to himself, opening his eyes to the throbbing at the back of his skull, forcing him awake.
Today is going to suck.
Kai can figure as much just by how much he feels like complete shit. With a whine of protest, he finally pushes himself up into a sitting position yawning. Suddenly, before he can process what's happening, Kai feels himself hacking up a lung. Panicking, he grips at his shirt trying to breathe. Yet the coughing doesn't stop until he feels three different colored petals rise from his throat and onto his bed sheets.
The color drains from his face.

Summary
The city of Ninjago is protected by the six ninja: Green, Red, Blue, Gray, Black, and White. Kai loves working as the Red Ninja, and honors the bonds he's formed with his teammates more than anything else. Things start to get complicated after he accidentally discovers Blue's identity- and, after he realizes Blue doesn't recognize him, a little awkward as well. Along with all of this, a new criminal organization on the rise is pushing the strength of the ninja's bonds, threatening them to fall apart.
So uh basically ninjago is gotham now and miraculous ladybug-inspired identity hiding hijinks ensue. (ok hand emoji)
