“Lao Wen!” Zhou Zishu’s next words tumbled over one another in one rushed breath. “You’re—you’re just so big. I don’t—I don’t—I don’t know if I’m cut-sleeve enough for this yet!”

In a world where dominants and submissives are biologically determined, Zhou Zishu is still the chained attack dog of a prince, mutilating himself for freedom. Wen Kexing is still the vicious and capricious master of ghosts who will pay any price for revenge.

Wen Kexing felt like he couldn't breathe, when Zhou Zishu finally approached the altar. Their marriage was a scheme, and their love was fake, but the excited sparks in Wen Kexing's stomach were not.

“Well, Your Highness? Having second thoughts?” Zhou Zishu lowly whispered, not turning to face him and keeping his sharp eyes straight ahead.

    “You’re beautiful.”

    Summary

Nobody said traveling through time would be easy — nothing Wen Kexing has done has ever been easy — but A-Xu was dying. He was going to die.

If Wen Kexing could not save his A-Xu in the life they shared together, he would save him elsewhere in the past. And then some other version of them could live on, while this A-Xu and this Wen Kexing would stop existing. Would become something that never existed at all. If Wen Kexing did this right, he would die one day after — and some twenty years earlier than — his husband.

Only, A-Xu died and Wen Kexing didn't stop existing.

    (Only — maybe A-Xu didn't die.)
