Summary
Shen Quanrui was raised to be an aristocrat from birth, his marriage into wealth secured. It isn’t until a plane crash leaving him stranded in the heart of the Himalayas does he realize the profound effect adventure and fighting for survival have on him.

Gunwook pauses for a moment, running his thumb over the side of Taerae’s hand.
“I’d miss you.”
Taerae dreams of leaving, while Gunwook's never had a reason to want to.

“They don’t know about us.” Gyubin shakily admits, sounding as if it physically hurt her to tell Ricky the truth.
Ricky stands there with a blank expression with all the silverware in her hands. “What?”
“You’re just my roommate! I’m not—like, out or anything.” Gyubin nervously tugs at the hem of her shirt, looking like she’s about to throw up. “That’s the big secret. That’s why I can’t take you home.”
Ricky and Gyubin are coming up on their two year anniversary, yet Ricky's never met Gyubin's parents. After some convincing, they decide to go to Seoul for Christmas to meet Gyubin's family—or will try to, at least.

“It’s a date!” Gyuvin gleefully grins, and Taerae wishes that he weren’t so cruel.
He’s the best at deflecting through self deprecation and bad comedy, though. “A first date at my apartment doesn’t sound all that special. Shouldn’t we go to the Louvre, or something?”
“We don’t need to go to the Louvre for our date to be special, hyung. Just being together is special enough, don’t you think?”
Taerae doesn’t know what to say to that. His face flares up with an intense heat, a blush breaking out across his cheeks.
“I—yeah. Sure.”
Taerae's been in a slump. Meeting Gyuvin has reinvigorated his love for baking and reminds him just how good being wanted feels.

Her hair’s gotten longer since last semester. What was an awkward almost-bob is now dyed caramel brown and brushing past her shoulders, tickling her collarbone. She still hides in her old clothes, but it’s gotten harder to conceal the growth of her chest and the slope of her waist. She doesn’t want to hide anymore, she just doesn’t know where to start.

It always started like this.
Their dance with each other drew to its untimely conclusion each and every time, with Gunwook one foot out of the door and Taerae never bothering to bid him goodbye or sometimes, the other way around. It was better that way.
There used to be a time where this wasn't their reality.
