Summary
Despite his best efforts after Christine leaves, Erik finds himself alive and well and turning fifty. Well, if he’s bound to stay alive, he may as well start living. Of course, any great undertaking requires a first step, which Erik takes literally as a nice morning walk. He may not have a wife to take out on Sunday, but it seems as good a place to start as any.
Nora Farley has enough money and years on her to live life on her own terms. And if one of the things she wants to do in life is walk by herself to and from early morning mass at Notre Dame, she will. And if she wants to say, “Good morning, Monsieur!” to the shy man who covers his face every Sunday…
Well, everyone must learn to live with the consequences of their actions, mustn’t they?
A quiet romance in which Erik takes it upon himself to learn how to live and may, perhaps, find someone to share that life with.
Chapters 45 through 49 are new, for the tenth anniversary.

Summary
Bella wants nothing more than to get through Forks without risking it all—her independence, her future, and especially her heart. But events are conspiring to draw her into a web of mystery too tempting for her to ignore. And soon, she might not have a choice...
COMPLETE!
Welcome to Tenebrity, the first book in a series of rewrites! Just about every conversation I have about Twilight ends up with everyone agreeing that some parts of it were really great and some parts of it... were not. A few years ago I decided to see if I could take the good parts and surround them with more good parts. According to the reviews, I think I've succeeded.
- "So far, this is was Twilight could have been. My older self is happy with this, and my younger self wished they had this instead of the original (not that they didn't enjoy it with a passion lol)."
- "The characters are so much more likable, the plot makes good sense. It really feels like a teenage romance. I really love this. You've warmed the cockles of this old fan's heart."
- "This is the story that I wanted to read when I picked up 'Twilight' as a high school student."
I hope to add your review to this list.

Best one so far. Good characterisations! Very good. Author visibily grows in skill, very nice. Best iteration of the James conflict I have seen, wherein it is actually used as a device to draw B and E together (like you'd it should be but it isn't in a lot of stories). B/E have no cute shared interests like music in the other one, though, but they are at least captivated by each others' personality in other ways. Best characterisation of Bella I have seen because she has a past and a future and is very realistic in her way of navigating the world. Etc etc

Summary
Isabella Swan has royally screwed up.
It's bad enough her toxic mother-daughter relationship came to a head during her senior year, but banishing herself to the sleepy town of Forks? Big mistake. Sure, she’s reconnecting with herself, her father, and longtime family friends. But the rain never lets up, the nightmares are getting worse, and, oh yeah— turns out the hot freak from Bio, Edward Cullen, is the only thing standing between her and sudden death.
What’s a girl to do when she’s trapped between the world she thinks she knows, the past she can't recall, and the vampire she’ll throw it all away for?
Draw. Solve mysteries. Commit crimes. Evade killers. Make out and make mixtapes. Y’know— the usual.

It's good because they enjoy each other's company. Very good Twilight rewrite, but it really makes me realise i don't like the story even if they have good chemistry.

Summary
Five years after Hiccup flees Berk to avoid having to kill the Monstrous Nightmare, Drago Bludvist is knocking down Berk's door. He never expected to see the others again, let alone for them to ask for his help. Only, they didn't know it was him. They knew him as the mysterious dragon rider with the Night Fury and their only hope at saving Berk.
Drago was coming after Berk because of Hiccup, which meant that this war was his responsibility. Hiccup Horrendous Haddock the Third was about to come back to life in the eyes of everyone in Berk. But now he was stronger, faster, older, taller, more confident, and a great fighter. He could take down Drago Bludvist, it was his father he was worried about. And Astrid Hofferson. The two scariest people on Berk.
