The Hemulen leaned down, as far as one could while gripping the bars of their cell. He spoke quietly as though sharing a grave secret.
“The Joxter is a crafty, wild thing. One never knows when or where he’ll show up but will nonetheless get the feeling of something amiss the day before." sensing Snufkin’s incomprehension, the Hemulen continued, somewhat exasperated. “He is like a storm, you see. There is no warning proceeding his arrival. One day all is right in the world and the next the Joxter is there! That is simply unforgivable.”
Snufkin still did not understand why this man was so terrible. “But what does he do?”
Mr. Fillyjonk answered in a low hiss. “The Joxter is a thief and a vagrant. He has no respect for law or private property. He is indiscriminate in his crimes. If a precious gem is said to be forbidden, he is sure to take it. It matters not what kind of creature you are, it’s all the same to him.”
or, Snufkin hears about his father long before he meets the Moomins. And what a first impression it is.

Homecoming AU.
Ben and May divorced before Peter’s parents died, so when Ben is murdered Peter goes into foster care. It takes just a tiny taste of superpowers for Peter to decide he doesn’t want to put up with his horrible foster father anymore—the streets are infinitely more appealing. All he wants is to be Spider-Man anyway.
So he leaves.
Simple.
Simple, that is, until Iron Man needs Spider-Man’s help. Peter isn’t about to turn down an opportunity to fight alongside Tony Freaking Stark, but he also isn’t going to let his hero know that his recruit is a fifteen-year-old homeless dropout. So they strike a deal. Peter will help Tony. In return, the mask stays on.
