Adam's stride quickens as he gets a clear direction and it makes it hard for Adora to keep up in her heels. She's about to whisper to him to slow down when she catches sight of the woman he's making a beeline toward.
Adora's heart beats too loudly in her chest and she feels like she might throw up right there in front of every upper class Bright Mooner.
It's her. It has to be her. She's older, changed in many ways but Adora would know Catra anywhere and any time. Her face is in a polite smile that doesn't reach her eyes, the kind she used to give to Adora's friends in Eternia whenever she ran into them.
But it's the same rounded cheeks Adora remembers. The same eyes—one melted gold and the other a vibrant blue—that Adora spent hours upon hours staring into. The same lips that Adora kissed more times than she could count, the ones she'd whispered broken promises into in the middle of the night.

"So, we'll walk through some of the stuff the team found but I have something better. This is your next assignment." Glimmer pushes the folder in front of her. "It's the bitch that fucked up our last assignment. That firm has been going after too many of our targets so it's time to take out the competition."
Thank god, something productive to do and somewhere to channel her frustration with the whole mission. Adora opens the folder and stares. And stares. She then looks up at her friend and glares at her. "That's not funny, Glimmer."
She shoots Adora a confused glance. "What's not funny?"
She puts her finger on the huge printout on the front page. "That's—That's my wife!" It could be no other but Catra looking up at her, stone-cold serious in all black, looking how Adora's never seen her before.
Glimmer purses her lip. "Cute, Adora." She rolls her eyes. "That's not your wife, that's the competition. We need to take her out. She's not good for business."
