In which an unprecedented side effect of Yusuke's transformation threatens to change his world entirely and possibly leave it in a state of total devastation- though as long as Kurama and Hiei are there to pick up the pieces, both are likely to happen. A relatively dark take on Yusuke's demon transformation, with a dash of bittersweet smut to add some contrast.

There’s a notification waiting when he picks up his phone.

After a fight with Hiei leaves him gutted, Kurama spirals through a week of silence, old wounds, and too many unsent messages. Kurama can’t stop reading the texts he won’t answer as he tries to outrun the shame of still wanting something that hurt him.
A quiet, sharp look at how Kurama balanced heartbreak and his stranglehold on keeping his mask in place with the weight of being seen too late.Series
