Had they been under other circumstances, maybe Goro would be able to take some sense of satisfaction from being able to shake Akira so thoroughly. Now, though, Goro can only feel like he has intruded on something sacred. Or dangerous. He looked at the mouth of the lion’s den and walked right into it.
Death would be easier. Any moment, now.
Leblanc is a café that serves the recently deceased. Its lone barista, Akira Kurusu, is a man of many secrets, but he has a way of easing the journey into the After for anyone who passes through Leblanc's door. That is, until his next patron is a man he thought long-dead, and he has to relearn the grieving process all over again as his carefully-cultivated space away from the troubles of his own life is cleaved in two.

Summary
“You— you have to promise not to leave me. Not where I can’t go, too.”
The sour feeling fades into a soft bitterness. “There are some places you can’t follow me.”
Felix shakes his head, and Sylvain feels like there’s something off about the picture, but he can’t tell what. “I don’t care. Even if you die, you— you have to wait for me. We’ll do it together.”
That quirks Sylvain’s lips. “Or not at all?”
“Promise me, Sylvain.”
Sylvain can't see blue, Felix can't see red, and over the years, they come to realise there's more to worry about than finding whatever soulmate is going to bring colour back into their lives.

When his mother's painting finally goes on display, Yusuke feels he has everything he could ever wish for. Then Akira joins him.

“How bad is it?” he asks, measured and low. As he speaks, he loosens his grip, keeping his fingers looped around Felix’s wrist gently. It allows Felix’s sleeve to slip over the knob of his wrist, revealing the beginning of carefully wrapped bandages.
Sylvain volunteers to check in on Felix, who's still coming to terms with his vulnerabilities.
