4. He forgot where he left his backpack, and Quackity’s gonna fucking kill him if he loses another one;

Summary
Tubbo had been in that particular corner of the mansion a hundred more times than he’d like to admit, and a thousand more times than anyone knew. He’d sit down on the piano stool and he’d touch the keys, never daring to press down.
To have this again was too much. More than once Ranboo had offered to take the piano away, to give it to someone else, to get rid of it, but his husband’s answers were always unsure so the instrument stayed. Suspiciously, it never collected any dust.
(Honestly, Tubbo never let it. Hearing any of the notes hurt so he let his hands fly and dance above the keys and let his feet move into the pedals, never actually touching the piano, and closed his eyes tight enough to pretend he was back in L’Manburg, and Wilbur was playing the guitar, and Tommy was yelling with joy, and Fundy was smiling, and Niki was laughing, and Eret was tapping his foot.)

Time and time again they were separated, time and time again they were upset or hurt by each other. Even then, never, not even for a second, Tommy thought he’d hear words like these, with the implications they held to them. Tubbo was supposed to know how much Tommy cared about him, there weren’t supposed to be any ands. When he spoke, his voice was much softer than before.
“And I would’ve lost you, Tubbo.”
“Okay, and?” He repeated, and Tommy could hear the crackling of static in his ears.
