“I grew up on a farm, we had cattle. Plus I have the hat.”

“Wear the hat, ride the cowboy.”Dennis Whitaker moved in with Trinity Santos. After months of squatting in the hospital he finally had a roof over his head, and in honestly he felt guilty about it. That is until he sees an advert for a casual hours stable hand. Finally he can earn some money and repay Santos for her generosity.
After Pittfest Robby got in contact with a therapist. He was surprised with how well it was going. He’d always been the type to express the need to talk about things to his patients, but he never took his own advice. Then after a conversation about his last vacation, his therapist suggests that equine therapy might be a good option for him. Little did he know he would meet his med student there, and strike up an unlikely bond.
Or,
Dennis and Robby meet at Dennis’ second job. Robby gets to see him in a different light, and against what they both know they begin to build a bond. One they’re determined to keep away from the prying eyes of the hospital.

Summary
“You know, female serial killers have more success rates because their motive is driven by revenge but they are extremely rare. As for male serial killers, they’re more abundant but they are much easier to capture because there’s always a sexual implication to their crimes.” Dennis says, not knowing the eyes that shot to his figure.
“You,” Robby starts but stops, hesitating to continue. “You know a lot about serial killers, Whitaker?”
Dennis simply nods, “Maybe, maybe not.”
Where Dennis Whitaker has been adopted by an FBI Profiler after his entire family has been killed so that he won’t go into foster care. However, his new co-workers don’t necessarily know this information and seem to think that the amount of knowledge that Dennis has on serial killers and criminology indicate that he’s on the wrong side of the law.
Or, 5 times Dennis Whitaker knows way too much about serial killers and psychopaths and the 1 time Robby tries to confront his boyfriend to see if he’s actually in a relationship with a serial killer.

“Who the fuck did this?” Jack roared, his voice cracking like a whip through the ER.
Nurses froze. A tech stopped mid-step. Even Dana, fearless on her worst days, halted in her tracks.
Trinity stumbled under Dennis’s weight, panic flooding her features. “Fuck—Dr. Abbot…” she breathed.
Jack didn’t wait.
He closed the distance in two strides and grabbed Dennis, hands sliding to both sides of the kid’s waist, hauling him off Trinity and straight into his chest. Dennis sagged instantly, collapsing against Jack like his bones had given up.
Jack’s jaw clenched so tight the muscle jumped. His eyes were pure, murderous fire.
Or where student doctor Dennis Whitaker loses a 6 year old patients and comes back to the Er bloody and supported by Trinity Santos. His two attendings who have been trying to get the student into their bed for weeks now, dont really take it well.
