Summary
The Speaker of God sat to the Seraphim’s right, cloaked in a gold-shimmering pair of wings, relaxed in her soft seat. She looked eerily calm, only ever speaking rarely as a stand-in for Him, as He was too busy to visit Heaven from His office. Two of the other archangels sat in a glass box above the Seraphim, silent as they watched. Gabriel shifted nervously in his seat, not looking down at Lucifer, and Amenadiel leaned forward in her seat next to him, typing away as she noted what was happening in the courtroom.
Lilith’s hand pressed gently on Lucifer’s shoulder, and he turned to look at her as he smiled reassuringly, although it didn’t quite reach his eyes. They looked up as the Seraphim cleared her throat, the sound of feathers rustling as the whispering angels stopped. The room fell silent.
