“Why do you keep showing up to these things?” Jisung hissed, keeping his voice strictly contained to a furious, frantic whisper so his family wouldn’t hear them bickering from the dining room.
Hyunjin calmly rinsed a cucumber under the running water, not missing a beat. “I was invited.”
“That’s not an answer!” Jisung whispered back, aggressively scrubbing a silicone spatula that was already perfectly clean. “We broke up months ago. You’re supposed to disappear into thin air. You’re not supposed to be at my thanksgiving table!”
Hyunjin bumped his hip deliberately against Jisung’s, forcing him to move over a fraction of an inch to make room at the sink. It was an infuriatingly natural movement, a ghost of a habit from when they used to cook dinner together in their tiny apartment. “Look, your family is fun,” Hyunjin countered, his tone defensive but laced with a distinctly playful edge. “They actually know how to let loose and have a good time. Unlike some people.”
Jisung gasped softly, reeling back, genuinely offended. “I am plenty of fun! I am a delight!”

Jisung’s family still invites Hyunjin to all of their family events. And Hyunjin actually goes.

Summary
there are remnants of hyunjin’s scent on the sheets and pillows, he won’t admit that they help him relax. he won’t admit that his heart is heavy with their situation. he doesn’t dare cry as he closes his eyes and thinks a bit while trying to fall asleep. as he thinks that maybe, if their situation were different, he and hyunjin would have definitely been together because of their requited feelings.
and that the pup he’ll carry was hyunjin’s and not some creep’s.
that he would have been happy.
but he dozes off, teary eyed and enveloped with hyunjin’s soft scent.
or: han jisung doesn’t have the best life. unfortunately, he goes through life crisis’ one after another. feeling alone, feeling unneeded, until hyunjin comes along and tries to fix that.
but hyunjin isn’t perfect.
nor has he ever been around an omega.

Hyunjin wasn’t always kind. He didn’t really like anybody, didn’t think anyone was deserving of his attention. But Jisung was different, he supposes. It was Jisung, that he stole extra longing glances towards. It was Jisung who he would stay after classes for just so he wouldn’t walk to his next class by himself. It was Jisung that made his heart beat faster than it did after he finished a dance practice. It was Jisung. It was always Jisung.

Summary
Hyunjin knew he was pretty. Not only was he pretty, but people did what he asked because of it. Sure, it bothered him a little, because there was so much more to him than just his appearance, but he would take what he could.
After a horrifying accident, Hyunjin realizes there's more to the situation. He realizes that he has a TIR- a Traumatic Induced Response. He had powers, from a trauma he couldn't remember happening.
Spending a year mute, Hyunjin wonders if going to college is even worth it anymore. It wasn't until a boy with disarmingly bright eyes sat next to him and rambled his ear off that Hyunjin began to think maybe - just maybe - there was something worth living for.
