"Mm, Mike?" he mumbled, boring his fingertips into his temples with a drawn-out breath. "Sorry, did I..?"
"No, you didn't wake me up," he assured, reaching his other hand up to move Will's hair away from his eyes with a soft noise. "You look exhausted. Another nightmare?"
"Yeah.." Will winced, face twisting into a grimace like the sound of his own voice, which was raspy and deeper than usual, brought him a great deal of pain. "Needed hot chocolate for this one."
"Ah, it was one of those ones. Do you..wanna talk about it?"
In the middle of the night, Mike wakes up to find Will not in bed as he should be. So, taking it upon himself to track the guy down wherever he may be, Mike eventually finds him in the kitchen. A long conversation follows. And chocolate mustaches.

A sick, ugly, twisted part of Mike wonders if his nose has to start bleeding before someone notices he doesn't wanna be around anymore.
It’s stupid. It’s so incredibly stupid it hurts, and Mike knows it. He’s sixteen years old. He can handle the thoughts and the darkness and how bad it gets each and every winter, like clockwork. He doesn’t even need help, not like he thought he used to. He learned what real hurt was the fall Will went missing.
He just…feels like it never quite stopped hurting.

Mike is depressed. He doesn't quite think he deserves to be, most of the time. Will disagrees.
