Summary
Stiles hasn’t seen Derek Hale this close up for over a decade. He looks almost exactly the same, except somehow he seems even bigger and broodier—criminally handsome, with soft-looking dark scruff, heavy brows, light hazel eyes. His gaze zeros in on Stiles almost immediately, and his scowl lightens minutely in what looks like surprise.
Stiles is acutely aware that he has melted butter and cinnamon all over his face, and tries to surreptitiously wipe it with the ends of his sweater-sleeve.

Summary
From the original fic this comic is an adaptation of:
“What day is it?” Derek demanded.“What?”
“The day! What day is today?!” Derek let Stiles go, but only so he could reach into his pocket and pull out his phone. He tapped at the home screen, and then went so perfectly still that Stiles was pretty sure this guy wasn’t human. No human could stand that still.
When it was clear Derek wasn’t going to move again without some prompting, Stiles said, “It’s Wednesday.”
“That’s impossible,” Derek whispered.
“Not really, it comes around every seven days.”
“This is impossible,” Derek said again, looking around himself, as if he was searching for something.

Summary
He realises his mistake when the Sheriff looks between them both, head going back and forth between Stiles’ hand on Derek’s jacket and Derek’s face.
Derek can see his boss take in his hopeless smile and he quickly tries to arrange his face into a scowl but by the look on John’s face he’s no where near convincing.
You and him? John mouths at him, eyes narrowed.
Derek shakes his head, eyes wide and panicked.
“What?” Stiles asks them when he looks up from his phone, unaware of the silent communication between Derek and the Sheriff. “What’s going on?”
“Nothing Son. Derek, make sure nothing happens to him,” John says pointedly. “Derek... I approve. Of you going to the preserve first, I mean. It’s nice. That the preserve makes you so happy.”
The Sheriff gives him a thumbs up when Stiles looks down at his phone again.
Derek wants to punch himself in the face.
“Of course Sir. I... I really like the preserve. I want to keep it safe,” Derek bodily hustles Stiles toward the doorway, ears burning.
“When did you both become so environmentally conscious?” Stiles frowns suspiciously.
