Reassuring, but the itch in his chest refused to calm. “Where’s Phainon?”
“Uh.” Caelus scratched his chin and looked off to the side. “Around?”
“Around,” he repeated flatly.
Irontomb is defeated; Amphoreus has been "born" anew in the Eternal Page, awaiting its future in reality. Great—perfect, even. Everyone is alive and remade with no worries in the world, the Heirs blessed to come together as a family once more. Right? Right?
So why is Mydei now stuck babysitting the Flame Reaver?

Summary
It started off as classmates, then fellow paladins, friends, allies, and for a moment, loneliness. Then one day, in a moment of weakness after the war, Keith and Lance decide to change their friendship into something more, adding a benefit of sex into the mix.
Only, neither are exactly happy with the arrangement and wishes there could be a change. But neither are confident to voice that desire to the other.
Regardless though, the change comes one day for Keith, with a surprise he hadn't ever expected. A surprise that will bring that friends with benefits arrangement to its heel.

Mydei let out a deep sigh, pinching the bridge of his nose in resignation. “Let me get this straight,” he finally said, still staring at the girl in disbelief. “You downloaded a sugar-dating app and catfished an old man using my face and body without my knowledge or permission?!”
“I only did it for fun! I didn’t expect that he would actually—”
“—and you expect me to help you and act like I was really the one he’d been texting for the past six months?!”
Absolutely unbelievable. Then again, Mydei should’ve known based on the countless expensive gifts, jewelry, and flowers that kept piling up in their apartment room—things Cipher liked to hoard.
“Uh…Yes?”
Or; Tired College Student Mydei becomes an unwilling sugar baby to one of the most powerful men in the country.
