Summary
Even the most intelligent robots are designed with some purpose in mind. Their base programming is molded to this purpose, directing these robots and their higher-order functions in service of it, equipping them with the skills and instructions they'll need.
Doraemon is a caretaker-model robot: pudgy, friendly, and currently quite irritated with the task at hand. He does not want to be stuck in this era, taking care of this hopeless kid. His programming will show him how to anyway.
