Summary
Shouto Todoroki lives a lonely life. He doesn’t speak to his father, his only friends are his siblings, and his mother is nowhere to be seen. When a green-haired boy named Izuku moves in next door, they begin a friendship that makes Shouto feel things he didn’t think were possible. However, as their friendship blossoms, Shouto’s life begins to change drastically.
How can Shouto be himself when all he’s ever done is reshape himself to please others? How can a quirkless kid like Izuku possibly understand the burden that comes with having a quirk like Shouto’s?

Izuku wished he were manlier, like Kirishima, or even like Bakugo, who when he puffed out his chest looked actually intimidating, unlike himself. Hot tears threatened to spill over his cheeks. He looked away from the mirror and focused on brushing his teeth. Don’t cry, he told himself. It’s stupid to cry over a thing like this.
