Stiles calls his dad. The phone rings and rings, and then his dad answers, saying, “Stiles? What’s wrong? Shouldn’t you be in bed by now?”
Derek smirks. Stiles gives him a dirty look. “Funny story,” Stiles says, keeping his voice as low as possible. “I’m, uh, I’m at Derek’s. House. Derek’s house.”
The sheriff is quiet for a moment. “Derek Hale?” he asks, as if they know another Derek.
“The one and only.”
“Stiles.” It’s funny how much disappointment his dad can pack into one word. “Let me talk to him.”

Summary
Stiles stares at the ceiling, completely flabbergasted. Derek Hale wants him. For real. This isn’t another Lydia situation, where he needs to pine and slowly try to work his way in from the edges of someone’s life.
Derek likes him already. Derek is nice to him. Derek answers his questions and his texts and buys him magical things.
He presses a hand against the spot Derek bit and shivers. That action had felt kind of wolfy, like Derek forgot to pretend to be a human man. Maybe that’s it, then, for Derek. Stiles is someone he doesn’t have to pretend to be human with. Maybe after summer ends, after Boyd and Erica are safely corralled in Beacon Hills, Derek will go back to fucking women like Tina or whatever that chick’s name was.
Stiles isn’t complaining. He’ll take what he can get.

Summary
Stiles rolled his eyes but unraveled the fancy bow and ripped open the paper so he could open the cardboard box. He was met with the sweet and pungent smell of something, his whole body reacting viscerally as he saw a wolf's head. The fur was russet and brown, blue eyes milky, and mouth shoved full of bluish-purple flowers that Stiles knew were wolfsbane. A notecard was placed on top neatly like a card with a single word: Soon.

Summary
Between a rock and a hard place, Stiles seeks a solution at the Beacon Hills Associated Hospital, an SCC affiliate specialized in breeding programs to ensure the survival of endangered supes. He can only hope that Derek Hale will give him the time of day and help save his father out of the goodness of his heart because Stiles has very little to offer, besides the small chance of freedom if they successfully breed.
“I must say, I’m surprised you continue to pursue Derek even after all of our warnings. He won’t choose you. He’s been here long enough that his instincts are getting confused. I believe he interfered in Jordan’s courting because he thought Jordan was a threat to your wellbeing. Don’t mistake his interference for interest.” Deaton sighs. “He’s stubborn and volatile. His reluctance to breed doesn’t bode well for his future. Which is an immense pity. He’s the last of his line. A direct descendant of one of the few native werewolf packs in California.”
