Summary
"I want to try something."
Soap looks up from the deck of cards he'd been absentmindedly shuffling on Ghost's desk. His hands freeze mid-shuffle, fingers suspended in the air, an edge of hesitation flickering across his face. There’s curiosity, yes—but it’s tainted by something darker, something he’s not sure he’s ready to confront.
"You want to try something?" Soap repeats, brows furrowing in confusion.
Simon stands a few steps away, arms crossed tight across his chest like a barrier he’s trying to fortify, eyes locked on the floor. "...Yeah," Simon mutters finally, hesitant. "Something... new."
Before Soap can process it, Simon’s hand is on his chest. Johnny doesn’t pull away. He doesn’t say anything. He just stands there, letting Simon ask for permission with silence, letting Simon touch him without saying the words out loud.
But Simon’s breath hitches the moment Johnny doesn’t step back. The flicker of tension that runs through his body is unmistakable. His pulse stutters, heart racing as if it’s trying to outrun the wave of panic building inside him. This isn’t how it’s supposed to go.

Summary
"The tenderness with which Soap smoothed over the lines of his palms, fingers gliding over calluses without pause, made his chest ache.
"What if they don't like me?" Simon murmured, eyes not leaving their hands.
Soap hummed, "What if they love you?"
The omega looked at him, "Why would they? It's not like I've given them any reason to." "
-*-
Ghost & Soap are off to meet Johnny's family for the first time, nervous about how they will view him and his less-than typical omega personality. But through the harrowing ordeal of vulnerability is the possibility of acceptance and love, and Simon is willing to do anything for both.
