A charged silence hung between them, the only sound being that of Will sketching. Mike had a tendency to fumble through moments like this, finding comfort in little quips to shift the vibe. It's expected of him, really, he can't help himself.
Mike's suggestion this time, however, was completely unexpected. Before Mike could even decipher it, the thought had reached his lips and just tumbled out.
"You'd look good as Luke Skywalker."

Summary
Will reaches for a red solo cup and peers inside. He shoves it under Mike’s nose and yells over the noise; “Do you think this is safe to drink?”
Mike shoots Will an exasperated look. “No, Will, I don’t think anything here is safe to drink.”
Will tilts his head to catch the end of Mike’s sentence, the shoulder of his shirt slipping slightly, revealing a strip of tan skin. Mike sucks in a sharp breath.
“You know what,” Mike reaches next to Will and grabs a cup for himself, tipping it back and swallowing a mouthful of something that burns his throat.

Will drags Mike to a party, lets out his inner dancer, makes Mike jealous, and is still wearing that fucking necklace.

Summary
Mike stiffens as he and Will lock eyes. Will’s eyes widen for a fraction of a second, and Mike waits for him to push Carlton off, to get up and tell Mike to get the fuck away from him.
But Will doesn’t do that.
Instead, Will holds his gaze. He keeps his eyes on Mike’s, even as Carlton’s lips move down to the juncture between Will’s neck and shoulder. Will’s breathing is heavy and he lifts his head to give Carlton more access, but he doesn’t take his eyes off of Mike.
Mike’s heartbeat drowns out everything else. He doesn’t hear the music or the other conversations going on around him. It’s just the blood roaring in his ears, and Will’s gaze freezing him in place.
There’s a look Mike has never seen in Will’s eyes before. Almost like a challenge. Carlton hits a sensitive spot and Will gasps, while Mike forgets how to breathe. His reaction must show on his face, because then Will is smirking at Mike, and Mike doesn’t have the slightest fucking clue what’s going on anymore.
or, after not talking for over a year, Mike only finds out Will moved to New York when they run into each other at a party. That's when things get complicated.
