Summary
For Mika, his life in the capital city’s orphanage had been an endless cycle of bland, watery, or burnt meals in a poorly lit room that smelled perpetually of mildew. But it was a special night, for it was his final night at the orphanage. He was turning eighteen, and by the morning the head nun would throw him to the streets, into the harsh reality of adulthood. Taking a deep, clean breath of the night air, Mika pushed the fear of tomorrow away. As he danced on the roof of the city's general store, the blue fabric of his clothes caught the moonlight, shimmering and sparkling as though he were from the moon itself. The silks and fabrics flowed elegantly, following every curve and movement of his body, becoming an extension of his soul’s desire.
Unbeknownst to him, he was being watched from a distance by Prince Shu, mesmerized by the mysterious dancer in the moonlight.
A story of love and drama involving members of the royal castle and men from a brothel in the slums.

okay this is just *MY PERSONAL PREFERENCE* but IM SO GLAD THERE WASNT A EXPLICIT SCENE FOR SHUMIKA. when basically every other pairing had those scenes I was so worried. (Im not really into reading those.) yes this is rated explicit so I knew what I was getting into, but the story was quite captivating so I had to stay!!! even if there was, this is still a great fic. I read it for shu and mika ofc, but the other characters' stories are also really interesting! The conclusion at the end is so sweet, a fairytale storybook like ughh ❤️❤️😭

Summary

istg I was so nervous and worried for mika knowing that he was literally about to get stabbed by someone, the entire beginning of the fic I was like OML IS HE ABOUT TO GET STABBED ARE YOU THE ONE WHOS GONNA STAB HIM!?!? and when the boy started talking to shu, I KNEW. I KNEW WHAT WAS ABOUT TO HAPPEN. LIKE NOOOOOO NOOOOOOOOOOO- I MEAN MIKA WOULD 100% DO THAT BUT LIKE NOOOO NOO NOOOO NON NONNNN i was screaming in agony but perhaps compared to some other outcomes that could've happened, this was best one 🥲 oh and of course they got engaged in the end so YAYYYYY -

I've been looking for a fic with some type of drunk scenario like this for these two sweethearts and I'm so happy this is great
