Summary
The cat was more of a shadow than anything. Alderheart’s stomach wrenched when he saw it: a huge gash split the cat in half. He wanted to look away but he couldn’t. His paws shook with effort to move. Bile rose in his throat. One half of the cat was sagging, as if it were ready to fall off.
Alderheart’s blood curdled as it opened its jaws to speak. “You must put me back together!” it cried. It sounded as if hundreds of voices spoke at once, every cat screaming in fear and pain. “You must heal the wound! Heal my wound!”

“Find the Guardians,” Whitewing meowed, sounding rushed. “You must find the Guardians.”
“The Guardians?” Dovewing tilted her head. “Who’s that?”
“You must find the Guardians,” Whitewing repeated. “Find the Guardians, Dovewing.”
The dream faded around her and she woke calmly. Dew clung to her fur and the grass around her, making her pelt spike. The sun rose behind the mountains, bathing the sky in an orange glow. Dovewing got to her paws and stretched. She groomed her messed up fur. It seemed she moved quiet a bit in her sleep. She looked down at her mother’s grave, her heart pounding as the dream replayed in her head. She didn’t know who the Guardians were but now she knew where to find them.

Dawnpelt looked at Needletail, her eyes round with worry. “Are you okay, Needletail?”
Needletail whirled around on her, anger spiking through her again. “Don’t call me that!” she snapped.
Dawnpelt reeled back in shock, taking a step away from her. “Okay,” she meowed, keeping her voice calm. “It’s okay, we don’t have to call you that.”
Beenose nodded and sidled up next to Dawnpelt. Dawnpelt spoke to Beenose but Needletail could barely hear them. She can’t change her past, but Raven was wrong about not being able to change her name. Needletail is dead.

Summary
Wolfsnarl showed off his long fangs and hissed. "We aren't the filthy prey-stealers here. We found more signs of stolen prey just this morning!" He sniffed angrily. "Not surprising. ValleyClan has always had the hearts of shrews."
Falconsing, bristling and snarling, paced forwards with unsheathed claws. "You say that again, foxbreath!" He hissed. Behind Wolfsnarl, the massive soot-grey cat Thunderclap met the smaller ValleyClan warrior at the border, yowling menacingly. From behind her, Eaglepelt and her apprentice Bluepaw showed their teeth, though Softpaw noticed how Bluepaw's tail twitched nervously.
"Stop! There will be no quarrel here." Birchtail meowed, glaring at Falconsing who took a reluctant step away from the border, never taking his eyes off the smirking HawkClan warrior. Birchtail turned his head back to Wolfsnarl, who bared his fangs and crouched down, eyes filled with fury.

Summary
Jaykit watched them leave ThunderClan camp, guided away by their mentors to return to their own home. He had so many more questions and wanted answers to why his heart tugged at him the way it did.
"Am I going to regret this?" Jaykit thought to himself before remembering the emotions he had experienced earlier.
"No. This is something I want to do. This is my choice and mine alone"
As he heard Firestar climb back on top of the Highledge, Jaykit gulped knowing what he had to do.Series
