Summary
Martin had always been favored by the summer courts, and moving up north to the little village of Lacuna is a difficult adjustment. It's rainy and lonely and everyone seems to have a strange, distant relationship with the local faerie court.
However: there is a strange man in a cloak who walks past Martin's remote little cottage every few days.
However: there is a moth that keeps getting stuck in Martin's house during the rain.
These events are not as disconnected as they first appear.

Summary
Jaskier looks into the mirror. Julian of Cintra stares back at him, and there is almost nothing of Jaskier in that reflection. Gone is the bard who’d wowed the Continent with his songs, and Jaskier grieves for the loss, heart heavy and aching.
He’d managed to discover what he would have been had he not been a witcher, but he will never have it again. Returning to the Path will be painful, knowing that he will once again be rejected by humans, and it leaves a hollowness in Jaskier as he realises that he will no longer be loved. Not anymore.

Before Jaskier the bard was born, there was Julian of Cintra, a witcher tired of his life on the Path. Julian gets the life he wants and lives four decades as Jaskier, until he’s forced to return to his life as Julian after the dragon hunt.
As he struggles to reconcile his two identities, Julian finds Geralt and Ciri, and slowly lets himself trust again.

However everything starts going south when after a long day at the archives he decides to take the metro to go home. Who knew that all it would take for Martin's life to change drastically would be listening to Abba and some dance moves?
Or Martin makes friends with all the avatars one song and a lot of dance moves at a time and stops the panopticon before it even happens.

Martin Blackwood hadn’t meant to stick to the merry-go-round job for so long. It was boring, very boring, the music whiny once you’ve listened to it a hundred times, so anything even mildly interesting stood out like a sore thumb. Jonathan Sims being on the verge of a mental breakdown turned out to be one of those things.

Michael wasn't stalking the hottest, douchiest new transfer student Jeremy Heere. He was just investigating Jeremy's possible connection to an overarching conspiracy that encompassed the entire city and made nerds into picture perfect people. He was just keeping an eye on Jeremy's psychopathic best buddy Rich Goranksi, who always seemed to be talking in code - and asking for help. And he was just teaming up with the school resident theater geek in a covert operation to uncover the mystery of if any of the popular kids had a soul at all.
Maybe he was just trying to figure out why Jeremy Heere looked so sad all the time. And maybe the answer would be far more complicated than he could have ever imagined.
