    Summary

Hua Cheng is passion and loyalty personified when he speaks, his voice a raw whisper. “Let me love you. Let me show you. I promise you, I’ll never leave you. I’ll never hurt you. I’ll forever be devoted to you, and only you.”

Xie Lian used to think he had experienced every emotion there was to experience in this world, but he was wrong. Being loved by Hua Cheng is like being a butterfly, delicate and precious, held in the cusp of his hands with all the gentleness in the world, being kept safe from the raging winds and the way people could be cruel. And suddenly, everything he’s ever done makes sense to him, it means something now, all because Hua Cheng sees him. He knows him.

    One person is enough.

Or: A post-canon story of Hua Cheng and Xie Lan talking and learning and exploring intimacy together.

    Summary

Wei Wuxian died in that cave.

At least everyone thought so, including him.

Maybe he should have even stayed dead. That might have been easier than watching Lan Wangji, Hanguang-Jun, Lan Zhan, look at him with absolutely no recognition in his eyes.

Having your spine ripped out by a giant turtle hurt. But being ignored by the person you gave your life for, the person you gave up everything for - that might actually be worse.

    Summary

It's been three days since Wei Wuxian last ate.

"Hungry," A-Yuan whines, pulling at his hand. Wei Wuxian tries to focus on the vegetable display in front of him. He's got 10 credits left on the last safe account he's got access to. Half a kilo of wilted vegetables, the cheapest thing in the store, costs 15.

The potatoes are sprouted. Half of Wei Wuxian's sluggish mind wonders if that means he can bargain down the prize, while the other half is screaming that something is very wrong. They have been planet-side for around 36 hours and so far nothing adds up.
Blinking slowly, Wei Wuxian stares at the potatoes. The green sprouts seem to taunt him.
Suddenly he remembers that Shanxu, the planet they are supposed to be on, has a current ban on potatoes, due to some aggressive and rapidly mutating form of crop blight.

    "Fuck," Wei Wuxian hisses.

Where the are they? What planet is this!?

Lan Wangji looks back at him for an endless moment, face unreadable.

Wei Wuxian swallows and exhales shakily. Lan Wangji is acting very collected for someone who just spotted a ghost. Shit. If Wei Wuxian survives this, he is going to have to fake his own death again.

    Summary

“Yiling Patriarch,” he begins, and Wei Wuxian’s face clouds.

“Please. That’s not – you know me, Zewu-jun. What’s wrong? Why are you here?” He walks over and Lan Xichen sees he has no weapon, not even his flute. He came to meet Wangji unarmed, defenseless. With a smile on his face.

“I’m here to ask for your help. It’s Wangji. He’s ill.”
