Summary
Four years after he and Nick break up, Charlie Spring has the world at his feet. Quickly climbing stardom with his new band, he finds himself thrown into masses of blinding lights and overwhelming stadiums with Darcy and Sahar at his side. He has no time for relationships, or even the forgetful bliss of a quick fling. When one Nick Nelson, fresh new Fly-Half for the England pro Rugby Team, is seated beside him at the Grammy awards as Darcy’s plus one - obviously intentionally - the two fight to either leave their complicated relationship behind, or delve back into the time that Charlie still thinks about every time their producer asks for a love song.

"I know," Castiel murmurs, still just smiling a little, not looking heartbroken at all. "Don't worry about it, Dean, that's all I ask."
"So we're—" Dean risks a glance up, swallowing thickly. "We're good?"

It’s been years since Mike has seen her in person—more than a mirage, a ghost flashing before him when he closes his eyes at night—and though butterflies still flutter at the sight of her, there’s an ache in his stomach, too, no doubt brought on by questions of what will happen next. Will she welcome him with open arms into this new life? How has Eleven changed as a person and as a woman? Will she even recognize him? If she does, will she feel the same longing?
“Something led me here, I guess," he tells her. It’s bullshit, and they both know it, but it sounds a hell of a lot healthier than, “I promised I’d follow you into oblivion, so here I am.”
