Summary
“You’re not my mother,” Hermione says as coldly as she can.
“No, I’m your grandmother,” Druella replies briskly. “Your Muggles have abandoned you and you’re standing barefoot in the middle of the road. You’d best come along with me, then, if you know what’s best for you.”
She holds out her hand, and Hermione reluctantly takes it.
In a world where Neville Longbottom is the Boy-Who-Lived, Hermione Granger ends her first year at Hogwarts without a single friend. Dora Tonks is still living in her childhood bedroom. The summer of 1992 changes everything for them.

Summary
Walburga Black, of Number 12, Grimmauld Place, is proud to say that she is perfectly ghastly, thank you very much. She is fond of dark magic, uses divination to cheat at the Muggle stock market, and chain smokes. Too bad she’s incarcerated in Azkaban, otherwise she’d be a better parent than Aunt Petunia or Uncle Vernon on a good day.
Harry Potter isn’t the Boy Who Lived. He’s just a boy, and an unlucky one at that. When the Dursleys leave him locked in his cupboard while they’re away on vacation, nine-year-old Harry finds himself at Grimmauld Place, where he is pulled into a world of Slytherins, magical tattoos, gothic manors, and corrupt aristocrats. Most importantly, it's there that he meets his first friend: Draco Malfoy.
The sequel to The Rock and the Hard Place, but can be read separately.

Summary
A female Severus Snape, a female Regulus Black, and a group of other queer witches stuck between a moral panic, a nihilist cult, and a vigilante group try to survive the early 80s. None of them are good people (except Amelia Bones, if you don’t look too closely) but they aren’t that bad, either. AU, because a female Snape changes things.

Summary
For a moment, her brain registered the details without assembling them into a person. A light green dress that fell to mid-calf. White frills at the sleeves and collar. Brown boots, slightly scuffed. A delicate necklace shaped like a large butterfly, green to match the dress. No, not a butterfly, Hermione corrected herself. A moth. A Luna moth.
The realisation clicked into place a fraction of a second later.
Luna Lovegood.
*
Hermione had plans. University, fellowships, research groups, internships...
And none of that involved Luna Lovegood.

Summary
Severus didn't learn the girl's name until the sorting ceremony, Sirius Black, hat shouting GRYFFINDOR to the world and all the other students whispering about it like it meant something, and Severus stared at her dark curls and wide grin and knew she would hate her for the rest of her life.

" All her life, Sirius had expected her wedding to be a contractual match arranged by her parents. As a child, this hadn't seemed so terrible; it was a long way off, and her parents had been an arranged match, and they didn't seem to hate it. But as she got older, the idea of marriage seemed more like a collar getting tighter with every year.
And then she fell in love with Severus, and suddenly marriage was something to look forward to, something to dream about, something to want. "
Just as enjoyable on the reread!

« “There’s a vault with your name at Gringotts,” Druella insisted, pressing a key into Andromeda’s palm. “It’s yours. Not Antonin’s. Yours.”
When her mother handed her the key, they were sitting close on the couch in the drawing room, and Geenie was refilling their glasses, and Andromeda’s head was swimming, and it took her a moment to process her mother’s words.
Her mother gave her an escape route.
It was in her name. »Very, very excellent fic that I was planning on reading during the week and instead spent my whole Sunday reading because I could not put it down.
