“Longfellow,” you laugh. “Though the point of that line is that the two ships don’t ever meet again.” You stretch out on the couch, throwing your legs up and reclining against the armrest to face him. “And we always do meet again, no matter how long it takes.”
“That is the point of soulmates.”
“Indeed it is.” There’s a sound somewhere in the back of your head, your alarm tone sounding in the real world, pulling you from the dreamscape slowly as you wake. “So, you’ll be here tomorrow?”
“I will.”
“Promise?”
“Yeah,” and he reaches out to you, folding his pinky together with yours. “I promise.”

Summary
It’s May 1979 and the Order has just apprehended a pair of mysterious wizards who look remarkably like a Potter and a Malfoy. Naturally, James Potter and Sirius Black are called in to identify the strangely familiar strangers and determine their backgrounds and loyalties.
(This would be a lot easier if their captives weren’t convinced everyone they talk to is dead. It would also be easier if they didn’t spend half their bloody time bickering.)
